Bliss: supreme happiness; utter joy or contentment

Seriously, who knew that life could change in such a dramatic HAPPY way so quickly?? It has been nearly 7 weeks since my last blog...I've had many, many thoughts, but they have been accumulated in a journal for my love, Daryl.

Back in late September, I had been just talking with a few people...nothing serious, and nothing really very interesting actually. Then, suddenly, here he is. My other half. He is such a part of me in a way I didn't know existed. How did this happen? What is it? How can I explain it or define the journey?

All I know is suddenly, BAM! I am completely in love and seeing life in a whole different way than I ever have before! The best way to describe what happened for both Daryl and I was that things shifted. Everything changed in a beautiful, surprising way. My paradigm and life will never be the same! I am beyond thankful that this kind of love has chosen us. I did not know it was possible to have such a confidence that this would be forever. No doubt. Nothing but openness and truth...trust and passion as well as true bliss!!!!

I get to see him today for the first time. I get to finally touch his face and hold his hand! I know it will be just as incredible as when it all happened...maybe a little overwhelming. Either way, I am ready! I will let you all know just how breathtaking the moment was. Priceless!!!!

Many a new face will please my eye

It's amazing starting over...rebuilding a social circle and doing all of it in a (reasonably) new city. I forgot how much work it is. I think I've been avoiding it...but now I'm starting. I am meeting new people and am excited to expand the current limited circle of acquaintances and friends in KC.

I am thankful for those who have remained a part of my life from Oregon and California. It brings joy to know that there are those who still think of you when you are far, far away. I'm still surprised by some of those who have kept the link alive. I know it is not easy...I experience it myself...anyway...this finds me in a somewhat melancholy mood (which rarely happens). I am missing the Elly's for the first time in many years tonight...and it makes me very sad. I miss the Sacramento Theatre Community...you are truly an unique network of actors/producers/musicians/crew, etc. I give you my love...lots of it.

Happy Life

Life is truly full of surprises. Not only do we find incredible gifts in places we never expected to look, but they turn out to be life-changing. I just wanted to share how happy I am with how life has changed. There are challenges, including still looking for work, but the gift of every day is so much more valuable.

I am adjusting pretty well to Kansas City. I have made some new friends who are showing me some fun things around here like the Power and Light District, and Centerline Beach Volleyball. I started rehearsals this week as well. So, things are suddenly in full swing and I doubt I could feel more confident in my decision to move here.

Life is good.

Oh the Weather Outside

It really is interesting what can happen in the span of a few days, let alone 9 years! At times it feels like I was 22 only a day ago, yet other times it truly feels a lifetime away.

Why 9 years? Well...today I had the privilege of re-connecting with an old friend, James. We had a fantastic talk (to be expected) about how short life is and how time passes so quickly. Seize the moments and when you are offered a chance, you take it! No looking back. If there was something unfinished, you finish it instead of wondering or blaming or feeling guilty.

I love passionate people...especially when they are passionate about the gifts we receive on a daily basis and the opportunities to truly live! So...today this was refreshed in me. And I hope it's contagious.

Live, LOVE, and Learn...

Find your voice...don't turn back.

Perspective

It is interesting how life can change in surprising ways in the span of mere months. Right now I am sitting at my brother's dining table in Belton, Missouri thinking about my future and how to start over. My three little guys are downstairs in my "apartment" along with boxes labeled "kitchen", "office" and "games", to name a few. So...here I am...31 years old, starting a single life again after thinking I never would be single again. However, I am excited for this adventure. I have nothing to do but embrace it, for the other option, well, simply would not be me.

So, I search for a new job in an unfamiliar region with the unwavering support of my brother and his family (and the dogs, of course). If you are an employer and searching for someone full of life with great administrative skills, I am looking for you.

On another note, it has been two years since my heart surgery. I am FINALLY building back up my endurance and it is refreshing to feel strong again. So, wish me luck, as I know you will and if you pray say a little prayer for me, pretty please with sugar on top.
